The children play

The child takes 2 bricks from the bowl.

Ask them to add their numbers together.
Ask them to subtract one number from the other.
Ask them to multiply the numbers.
Facilitation tips

The answer can be said aloud or written down.

Make it a warm-up activity for the whole class.

Add a timer!

Make it more difficult by asking the child to take 4 bricks and to do the activity with two 2-digit numbers.
