The Castle Tower

Is it a keep or a dungeon? Build it, then it’s up to you!

To recognise the shape of a square.

The adult prepares

  • 1 baseplate

  • 36 bricks with more than 3 studs each, to ensure a strong building

  • 1 bowl

Place the 30 other bricks in the bowl.

The children play

1

Ask the child to make the tower taller.

2

All four walls must be the same height.

Facilitation tips

  • Start the tower by building several rows of bricks before the activity starts.

  • Increase the number of towers to be built or change the size of the initial square.

  • Ask: What would happen if you dropped a brick or a LEGO mini figure in the tower?
