Hold the brick firmly and press it onto the playdough. How strong are your hands?

Goals

To develop hand and finger strength, grasp and release. To get used to touching new textures.

The adult prepares

The children play

Help the child roll and flatten the ball of playdough into a disk about two inches thick.

Tell the child to hold the brick and press it onto the playdough.

Ask them to repeat until the disk is full of prints.

Facilitation tips

Using playdough makes the challenge of manipulating and locking bricks together easier, whether
it is LEGO Braille Bricks or DUPLO bricks.
