  • 1 bowl

Place 2 bricks on the base plate: vertically, in the top left corner, to begin a vertical column.

The children play

1

The child takes bricks from the bowl to build a thin fence around the garden baseplate.

2

They check that the fence is built all the way around the garden, along the edges.

Facilitation tips

  • Ask: What’s your fence for? Can you tell me?

  • Add little toys or LEGO® mini figures to play with.

  • Peer play: add base plates and build a bigger fence.
