Write 6 words on the baseplate, mixing common and proper nouns (omitting all of the required capital signs).
Leave space for a brick in front of each word.

The child reads the words and adds a capital sign for each proper noun.
Say: Tell a story using the 6 words and choose a way to indicate when you say a word that starts with an upper-case letter, e.g. stand up, clap your hands etc.
Peer play: one child writes the words, the other adds the capital signs.
