The more identical number-bricks you find on the baseplate, the more chances you have of winning.
Find, identify and collect specific number bricks on a baseplate in a peer-play activity.
1 baseplate with a number-sign brick at the top left corner
12 number bricks (2×1, 2×2… 2x 6)
2 bowls
1 dice
Place all the number bricks anywhere on the baseplate, in various positions (vertical, horizontal)
1
Tell Player 1 to roll the dice, read the number and search the baseplate for all the bricks with the same number, then take the bricks they find off the baseplate, and put them in their bowl.
2
Player 2 follows the same instructions.
Both players take turns until there are no bricks left on the baseplate.
The player with the most bricks wins.
I’m going to put the numbers anywhere
anywhere on the plate, in any direction.
I take your numbers,
I put them all over the base plate
and sometimes they’ll be
in the right direction, sometimes not.
Shall we give it a try, Fanja?
I’ll show you what
the dice is. There it is.
We take it and
roll it on the board
and then you can count what’s written
on it.
One, two, three.
Can you find the number three
on your plate?
You take your brick three, that’s
very good.
Put it in your bowl.
You’ve won that one.
Now it’s Frédéric’s turn.
Take the dice,
roll it on the board, go on.
One.
One. Do you have a brick?
Yes, you’ve already found it.
Put it in the bowl.
Fanja’s turn.
Here we go, take the dice, roll it…
How much did you get?
One, two, three, four.
Frédéric’s turn.
And the winner is
the one with nothing left on his plate.
Four.
Perfect.
So now,
I’m going to roll the dice.
And as soon as you have the brick,
well, you take it.
Ready? Here I go.
I’m reading… five!
Is that five? Yes, it’s five.
So you can take it off.
For Fanja,
we still have the one left.
For Frédéric, we still have the two.
And there it goes… two!
You’ve found it, very good,
put it in the bowl.
Go on.
Do you have anything left
left on the plate?
-Zero.
Zero.
So you’ve won. Well done!
