Combine letters to make sounds, then find words that start with the magic sounds.

Goals

To understand how letters combined together create syllables and new sounds.

The adult prepares

  • 1 baseplate

  • 5 different consonants and 5 different vowels in separate bowls

The children play

The child picks a brick from each bowl,

then puts the letters together to make a syllable and says a word that starts with the syllable they’ve made.
